Fast forward a bit, well 3 years to my first year at university I made lots of new friends going out every night. We were generally having a brilliant time.
Just before our end of year exams I noticed my skin was looking red and sore I doubled up on the moisturising cream and make- up and did not pay much attention. Until later that week my acne free face was no more, blackheads and cysts, that, before long looked ready to burst. Not all the cysts were on my face they had started spreading onto my back!
I tried every acne treatment.
When I returned home for the summer I decided I needed to rest and had over done the fun and hard work at university. I knew from my acne before that stress, psychological disturbances and irregular living habits do not help acne.
All of those conditions were present while I had been away studying. It turned out to be a good break. Got to relax and managed to earn enough money to go on holiday with friends. My acne on my face and body had flare-ups and calmed down but never went away.
Over the next 2 years I think I tried every acne treatment and remedies on the market along with vitamins as well as herbal remedies. I was desperate to find a solution or product to cure me. The internet is such a fantastic source of information and there are a lot of great websites giving various support groups.
Also, forums often dedicated to acne, offering advice and tips. Reading as many acne treatment reviews I could find also helped. Unfortunately as time went on I became despairing of this more severe case of acne. I grew my fringe to hide the acne on my forehead I never left home without my make-up for acne sufferers.
My doctor sent me to a dermatologist. He told me I had severe acne and prescribed Roaccutane also known as Accutane and Isotretinoin.
